Life Boat Project
Taking a Lifebelt is Taking a Life.
In collaboration with Glasgow City Council’s Water Safety Group we undertook to designing and writing classroom lessons as well as resources to help reinforce as an early intervention mechanism the important message through schools that removing lifebelts stationed along the River Clyde was putting lives at risk.
This project was to be launched after the film that was produced ‘Taking a lifeboat is Taking a Life’.
The projects aim was to target the primary schools so that young people would become aware of the serious consequences of removing lifebelts stationed along the River Clyde.
Road Safety Project
Working with Police Scotland and Safety Camera Scotland on a project first of its kind in Scotland. The project was ‘driVR’ – a new perspective on road safety to help educate S5/S6 pupils to become safe drivers and pedestrians. We delivered training to Road Safety Officers and designed teacher/trainer support workbooks as well as pupil workbooks.
The project was initially piloted in Glasgow and is now delivered nationally by Police Scotland.
In May 2019, driVR was recognised as the Best Education and Training Initiative in 2019 by a group of six industry experts and won the Young Driver Award at the RAC Club in London.
ICT Mentoring
Working with Edict, we coached and supported Teachers within Glasgow City Council Establishments - schools and nurseries.
We delivered training support to staff to help develop specific skills in ICT.
